Jonathan Vlasic was introduced to country Italian cuisine at a very young age with his grandparents who were born in Patrica, Italy. Using fresh garden ingredients that his grandmother, mother and four aunts grew, Italian feasts were a regularity at the Burzese household.
Jonathan started working at the Edgeworth Club in 1991. Graduating Ambridge High School in 1995, he continued his education at the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts while working at the Beaver Lakes Country Club. After graduating, he was employed at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort of St. Petersburg, Florida. He was a Restaurant Chef for the Terrace Room and Marchand’s Grill and worked very closely with Executive Chef Thomas Chin. Upon arriving back in Pittsburgh, Jonathan was Sous Chef to Kevin Vaccaro at the Montour Heights Country Club. In 2004, he worked as the Sales Representative/Demonstration Chef for the C.A. Curtze Company.
Jonathan is now Chef and Owner of Alla Famiglia, located in Pittsburgh, PA where he demonstrates food that is inspired by his family and professional career.
